What is No Excess Insurance?
No Excess Insurance simply removes any excess payable to the supplier in the event the vehicle is damaged or stolen. It provides complete coverage for the roof, undercarriage, windows and tyres, which the consumer is normally responsible for with basic CDW insurance.
Most car rental companies charge an Excess, if you have a claim. Most policies issued by these companies don't cover windows, tyres, undercarriage, roof or loss of keys.
Excess Insurance gives you complete peace of mind. it can be used on any vehicle type and if we can't confirm your particular vehicle you can use it with any car rental company so you won't lose out.

What is Premium Location and/or Airport Fees?
Premium Location and Airport Fees are fees charged at some locations to cover the costs of services in the location. Most of the rental companies have inclusive Airport Fees and Location Charges. Please check your car rental conditions whether there are any additional charges for these locations or airports.
What is Collision Damage Waiver?
This means your liability for damage caused to the rental vehicle is relinquished if it is involved in a collision. The waiver is limited to a certain amount and often excludes glass (windows etc.), tyres and any towing. The waiver usually carries an excess/deductible of a certain amount; this means that the renter will be liable for a certain amount e.g. In France the amount for some vehicles is €450.
What is Vehicle Theft Waiver?
This removes or reduces the renter’s liability for the attempted theft or theft of the rented vehicle. The waiver may carry an excess/deductible amount, which means that the renter will be liable for a certain amount of the value of the vehicle damaged or stolen, for example up to first £2,000 of the damage.
What is Liability Insurance?
Every country has a minimum amount of insurance needed for someone to be permitted to drive. This covers the renter’s liability for any damage caused to other people and⁄or other people’s property. It is usually limited to a maximum of €1,000,000. The insurance is limited and there may be excess i.e. you may be liable for any amount over and above the value of the insurance.
What is V.A.T and Local Tax?
This is a tax applied by the government on car rental and the percentage (%) varies from country to country.
What is Road Tax Fund / VLF?
This is a charge applied by rental companies to cover the cost of vehicle licensing.
What about Unlimited Mileage?
Unlimited mileage is included in our car hire rates. Many other companies charge this for accelerated vehicle depreciation.
Do you offer Breakdown Assistance?
All the vehicle suppliers have national assistance should the customer require it. Please ask at your local desk for the number and contact details at the time of processing your booking.
What is your Book Now and Pay on Arrival Policy?
In most instances, when you book with Rent a Car Online you pay a small deposit for the booking the day of your reservation. You don't have to pay the balance until you get to your destination. This procedure means that you don't have to pay the bulk of the cost immediately leaving you time for the other important preparations of your trip.
How do I cancel my Car Rental Booking?
Cancellation of a booking must be made a minimum of forty eight (48) hours before the rental of the vehicle is due to commence pursuant to a booking made on this website.
If you wish to cancel a booking, please click here or call us at +353 (0)23 83009. In the event of a cancellation notice of which is received by CarTrawler within seven (7) days of the car rental booking date and at least forty eight (48) hours before the rental of the vehicle is due to commence pursuant to a booking made on this booking engine all funds will be reimbursed.
In the event of a cancellation notice of which is received by CarTrawler outside seven (7) days of the car rental booking date and at least forty eight (48) hours before the rental of the vehicle is due to commence pursuant to a booking made on this booking engine all funds except a cancellation handling/ administration fee of €25.00 and the non-refundable Administration Charge (Card processing fee) where applicable, will be reimbursed.
In the event of a cancellation (notice of which is received by CarTrawler less than forty eight (48) hours before the rental of the vehicle is due to commence pursuant to a booking made on this booking engine no funds paid will be reimbursed to you, unless the entire rental amount has also been pre paid CarTrawler will retain 3 days rental and Administration Charge (Card processing fee) where applicable.
In the event of a cancellation of a booking when the entire rental amount is payable on arrival, there is no fee for a cancellation.

Can I add Additional or Extra Drivers to my Car Rental Agreement?
Additional drivers can be added on arrival at the rental office. All Additional drivers must be physically present at the agent's counter with their own drivers licence to sign the hire agreement.
